The application deadline to be considered for fall 2014 scholarships is February 1, 2014. No late materials will be accepted.
The Cleft Palate Foundation is pleased to award a minimum of three $500 scholarships each year to full-time college students with craniofacial differences. Additional scholarships of increased amounts may be awarded, based on funds available.
Selection is based on past academic performance, evidence of leadership skills and/or community and school involvement, as well as strong indications of future academic success. One scholarship is designated for a student enrolled in or planning to enroll in a community, vocational or technical school. For the remainder of the scholarships, preference is given to rising first-year students in any field and currently enrolled students in a field of study related to the management of craniofacial anomalies (e.g. genetic counseling, speech-language pathology, etc.).
Please note: Scholarship recipients may only receive one CPF scholarship and are not eligible to apply for future CPF college scholarships.
Because of financial regulations, we are only able to award scholarships to students attending accredited postsecondary institutions and programs in the United States.
CPF gratefully acknowledges the generous contributions made to the Peter Randall, MD/Don LaRossa, MD and Gip Seaver, PhD College Scholarship Funds. These special funds recognize the work of Dr. Peter Randall, Dr. Don LaRossa, and Dr. Earl “Gip” Seaver, all of whom have worked to enhance the quality of life for individuals affected by cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial birth defects. Each year, contributions made to these funds are responsible for covering the cost of at least two college scholarships.
