College Scholarships
The Cleft Palate Foundation is pleased to award a minimum of three $500.00 scholarships to full-time college students with craniofacial differences. Selection is based on past academic success, evidence of leadership skills and/or community and school involvement, as well as strong indications of future academic success. Students at any level may apply; however, preference is given to rising first-year students in any field and first-year graduate students in a field of study related to the management of craniofacial anomalies (for example: genetic counseling, speech-language pathology).
Please note: we are only able to award scholarships to students attending accredited postsecondary institutions and programs. Please contact us if you have any questions.
CPF gratefully acknowledges the generous contributions made to the Peter Randall, MD/Don LaRossa, MD College Scholarship Fund. Established in 2009, this special fund recognizes the work of Dr. Peter Randall and Dr. Don LaRossa, both of whom have worked to enhance the quality of life for individuals affected by cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial birth defects. Each year, contributions made to this fund are responsible for covering the cost of at least one college scholarship.
We are no longer accepting applications for the 2010-2011 school year. Completed scholarship applications for the 2011-2012 school year should be submitted by February 1, 2011. Please call the National Office (800.242.5338) if you have any questions about the scholarship application or the online submission system.

If you are entering your first year of college, please use the forms below to apply for the scholarship. You should use the first link to apply for the award. Please carefully read the instructions on the application form. Information cannot be saved in the form before submitting – you may find it useful to complete the application in a seperate Word document and then, when ready, paste your answers into the form. Please send the second link to your high school counselor and ask that they use this link to complete the online recommendation form.
**Note that along with completing this online application, you must also submit (by email, fax or mail) medical documentation of the existence of a craniofacial anomaly. This information will be maintained confidentially and used for the scholarship process only.

Continuing College Students

Please send the second link to a professor, advisor, or other educator and ask that they use this link to complete the online recommendation form. You must also requst that your institution send your official transcript to the CPF National Office.
