Cleft Palate Foundation and NASCAR

Second grader Sierrarose Sypult of Bemidji, Minnesota recently submitted a car design for the Toyota Racing and NASCAR Sponsafier competition. Born with bilateral cleft lip and palate, Sierra designed her car to share information about her condition with others. The hood of the car has a picture of Sierra and the side of the car features the Cleft Palate Foundation. If Sierra’s design wins, the car will circle the track pre-race with Sierra in the passenger’s seat.
The competition is now closed for voting. Sierra and her family will hear results by the beginning of April. We’ll keep you posted! For now, you can still view Sierra’s great design. Hopefully we’ll see Sierra and the Cleft Palate Foundation circling the race track.
Sierra’s mom let us know that Sierra dreams of becoming an actress or model, but for now, she just, “…wants to tell the Nascar drivers to start their engines and go!”
