Can't wait! :) 20 weeks pregnant and am currently looking for a lot of information since my baby has cleft palate and lip. I'd love to read about what mom's go through when they first find out, their thoughts, their experience from finding out to birth and of course, how their baby is doing now. It is so scary- not knowing what to expect and makes me feel more at ease when I read what other mothers have gone through b/c their beginnings are very much similar to mine.

Sara, First, Congratulations on your little bundle of joy. I wanted to offer you some support as we were in your situation a year ago. A few pieces of advice: don't "surf the web" for information (if you haven't already done this). We did, and it was a huge mistake. There is a lot of misinformation out there and devastating photos that will horrify you; get as much information as you can, now before the baby is born and prepare for the worst case scenario. Have you been able to connect with your cleft team yet?
